Oliver Jackson scores 2 as Lunesdale beat Sedbergh Wanderers................

The 2nd round of the Westmorland County FA’s Benevolent Trophy was finally played on Saturday after being postponed seven times.

The fixture was switched at the 11th hour from Sedbergh to Lunesdale, due to Sedbergh’s pitch being unfit.

Lunesdale beat Sedbergh 5-4 in what was an entertaining and hard fought game.

Lunesdale United Reserves were also awarded a win this weekend when they beat Ibis Reserves 4-1.

Mike Wilson (making his debut after returning to the club) scored Lunesdale’s final goal of the match after being the quickest to react to a poor back pass by Ibis.

This week also saw the return of Chris Ellwood to the club, who gave a “man of the match” performance against Ibis Reserves on Saturday.
